This Privacy Notice explains how Go Gifters, LLC ("Go Gifters," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). Go Gifters, LLC is a limited liability company organized in North Dakota, USA and is the data controller of personal information processed about you in connection with the Service.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google sign-in).
• Recipient & gifting data: the people you add to your circle, their occasions, preferences, notes, and wish lists you build.
• Communications: messages you send us through the contact form or support email.
• Usage & device data: log data, IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and feature interactions.
• Cookies: essential cookies for authentication and session management, and limited analytics cookies (see "Cookies" below).

Payment information (card number, billing address, tax details) is collected and processed directly by our payments provider, Stripe. We do not store full payment-card numbers on our systems.

2. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account and deliver the Service.
• To send reminders, recommendations, and other features you have opted into.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To secure the Service, detect fraud, and prevent abuse.
• To improve and develop the Service (aggregate, de-identified usage analysis).
• To send transactional emails (account, billing) and, with your consent where required, product updates.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable law (such as the GDPR or UK GDPR) requires a legal basis, we rely on:

• Contract performance: to deliver the Service you have signed up for.
• Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and improve our product.
• Consent: for optional cookies and marketing emails (where required).
• Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws, tax, and accounting requirements.

4. How we share your information

We share personal information only with:

• Service providers / subprocessors we rely on to operate the Service, including hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, and customer-support tooling. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
• Stripe, our payments provider, for the sale of subscriptions and one-time purchases, payment processing, subscription management, tax calculation and collection, invoicing, refunds, and dispute handling.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) as needed.
• Authorities when required to comply with a valid legal request or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Successor entities in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Notice.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and some of our subprocessors may process data in other countries. Where personal information is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms) where required by applicable law.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active, for as long as needed to provide the Service, or as required to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize the data. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights including: access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. We will respond within the time periods required by applicable law (typically within 30 days for U.S. state privacy laws, or one month under GDPR/UK GDPR).

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege administration. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to protect your data.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may break parts of the Service.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
